Dr. Craig W. Henke

Dr. Henke did his undergraduate studies at Southern Illinois University earning a bachelor’s degree in Zoology. He later attended Auburn University School of Veterinary Medicine where he earned his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2002. Upon graduation, he practiced small animal medicine in Western North Carolina. His love for the outdoors and saltwater brought him to South Carolina in 2004 when he joined Palmetto Veterinary Hospital as an associate. He then purchased the practice the following year.

Dr. Henke truly enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine with a special interest in CO2 laser surgery. He’s passionate about client education and enjoys building lasting relationships while providing high-quality patient care and preventative medicine.

When he is away from the hospital, Dr. Henke enjoys spending time with his wife, three grown children, and grandson. He is an avid fly fisherman and on his days off will likely be spotted on the many flats located here in the Charleston area. He also frequents many exotic destinations, such as Argentina, Belize, and the Bahamas with fly rod in hand in search of landing different fish species. Dr. Henke lives in Mt. Pleasant with his wife, Tracy, and their two dogs: Simms and Sage.
