Meet Dr. Ramsey

Dr. Ramsey joined Palmetto Veterinary Hospital in May 2026, bringing with him more than 30 years of experience in veterinary medicine. Originally from Youngstown, Ohio, he earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Rutgers University and his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Missouri.

Throughout his career, Dr. Ramsey has practiced in several states, most recently calling Boston home for the past 30 years. During that time, he owned and operated his own veterinary practice for 15 years.

An avid traveler, Dr. Ramsey has explored destinations around the world. One of his most memorable adventures was hiking through the Himalayas in Nepal. He now enjoys life on the peninsula with his three feisty felines.

Outside of the hospital, Dr. Ramsey enjoys cars, golf, biking, and traveling. Professionally, he has a particular interest in surgery, ophthalmology, and all aspects of internal medicine. Dr. Ramsey is excited to become part of the Palmetto Veterinary Hospital team and looks forward to getting to know you and your pets!
